Mages & Macrophages (MM1) includes six Monster Cards, Vendor Book, GameMaster’s case, Puzzle Card, Interlocking Map Tiles, 55 Loot Tokens, 28 Figurines with bases, five blank Character Folios, eight Polyhedral Dice, a dry-erase Pen, a player setup guide, and six-page rule sheet – all enclosed in the ScreenBox which serves as a GM screen, written story and storage box.
ScreenBox
Each game box transforms into the GameMaster’s screen. The entire story is printed on the inside of the screen with secret maps, puzzle solutions and a panel to organize Loot Tokens. When the game session ends, the box keeps all game pieces in a tidy compact case, sealed with a magnetic flap.
Every piece of equipment, weapon, magic amulet, potion, or household kitchen tool is a collectable Loot Token which players add to their Character Folio for easy inventory management.
Monsters, allies, and Non-Player Character (NPC) have a Monster Card. They list combat stats, special abilities and spells, and clues on how to interact with them. Keep track of monster health using a wipe-erase pen.
Kids like school. Well, maybe not. They do like using their brains, even if they don’t know it. Every adventure sneaks in a math puzzle or linguistic word game that needs to be tackled and sometimes even solved.
cHaracter Folio
Every player creates a Character and houses them in a Character Folio. In this folder you can keep track of important statistics, spells, weapon stats, gold, Experience Points (XP), pets, and most importantly, every Loot Token you’ve collected in your Adventures. Creation guidelines, stat formulas, a leveling table, and a complete spell list are included.
